Welcome to IT Jalakam
This is ITJalakam.info, an online collaborated web-site to build a syllabus for the IT Course meant for the 10th grade students. This covers the basics of information technology and role of computers in the day to day life.
This website will act as a handbook for the instructors. This should not be treated as a text book and this is not meant for the students to refer (only for the instructors / teachers to refer and prepare notes).

Din on 06/07/2009 Image upload facility has been added in the wiki, as some visitors / admins were complaining about file uploading sites. I mean some sites are blocked etc. Please upload all images to the wiki site itself. We will get better control like alignment, caption etc in that case. You can find it in the left side - Toolbox -> Upload file. Added some content to "External Media" page. Mostly from Wikipedia. Need to add some more photos and details. Amitash on 5/7/09: Added content to "computer internals" article and the internet article on download managers. Disc_Junkie on 4/7/09: Added more content to the Programming article Suggestions: A separate page for Object Oriented Programming
Admins, after adding/modifying content, are requested to make an entry in the "pre" tag of the main page, just so that other admins can be notified of the changes/suggestions as well.
